Automatic Strand Splice

Automatic Guy Wire Splice / Strand Link for Steel Strand Connections
FASTLINK Automatic Strand Splice joins two steel strand ends in telecommunications and electrical utility networks. This inline Guy Wire Splice, also known as a Strand Link, uses push-in installation. In our demonstration, insertion marks help verify that both strand ends are fully inserted. For termination at an anchor point, choose the appropriate Guy Wire Deadend or Strand Vise instead.
  • Inline Strand Connection: Joins two steel strand ends for guying and aerial support applications.
  • Push-In Installation: Our demonstration shows strand insertion from each end of the splice.
  • Insertion Mark Check: Marking the strand provides a visual reference for checking full insertion.
  • Holding Strength: Rated to hold a minimum of 90% of the strand’s rated breaking strength, with the correctly matched strand and model.
  • Multiple Size Options: Available in standard and EHS-designated models, with model-specific wire diameter ranges.
  • Utility Applications: Designed for steel strand connections in telecommunications and electrical networks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Guy Wire Splice and a Guy Wire Deadend?

Our Guy Wire Splice joins two strand ends in line. A Guy Wire Deadend terminates a strand at an anchor point. Choose the splice for joining strands and the deadend for termination.
A Strand Link is the inline joining option represented by this Automatic Strand Splice. A Strand Vise is used for dead-ending rather than joining two strand ends. Tell us whether you need a splice or an anchored termination so we can match the product to the job.
In our demonstration, we mark the strand before inserting it into the splice. The mark provides a reference for checking that the strand is fully inserted. We repeat the same process at the opposite end. Use the insertion depth specified for your model.
Match the strand’s actual diameter, construction, grade, and coating to the model specifications. Our range includes EHS-designated options, so diameter alone is not enough to confirm compatibility. Send us these strand details if you need help selecting a model.
Our published rating is a minimum of 90% of the strand’s rated breaking strength (RBS). This rating applies when the splice is correctly selected for the strand and installed according to the applicable instructions.
